A child is helped by: 
The women in the support group are learning to sew and embroider. They produce simple landscapes - they then send them to us. We attach them on to canvas tote bags and apply a transfer with their story.
We sell each bag for $20 - first we cover the costs of the bags, internal postage and transfers. The balance of approx $12-15 goes directly to the support group. We take no money for ourselves - they get 100% of the profit.
Each landscape is different - in size, color, composition. Some are very rural African scenes, some fanciful visions and some simple flowers. Each one reflects the person who sewed it. The skill level of each member is different.
These are pictures created from desperation and with great hope.
